It is meant to remind us of our goal &#8211; the perfect garden sauna. That is where the New Sauna story is heading, step by step.  In this blog post, we dream, from a garden sauna company's point of view, of five places where we would like to deliver a New Sauna garden sauna. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-instagram aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B3pgLnJl_tv\/\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our first choice would be to place the garden sauna on the shore of Suomij\u00e4rvi in Vesikkovaara, Kittil\u00e4.  According to Yle, &#8221;The lake was an ordinary one in the original plans until Esko S\u00e4\u00e4skilahti from Rovaniemi, who had been hired as the project's site manager, had an idea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; I wanted to leave my own mark on the artificial lake, and after considering various options I decided to make it exactly the shape of Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also got tourism entrepreneur Keijo Kurtakko excited about it, and so work on Suomij\u00e4rvi began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Suomij\u00e4rvi was shaped with two excavators in about a week, and it is not only the right shape but also to scale. The lake is about a metre deep and 116 metres long \u2013 Finland 10,000 times smaller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-instagram aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B7ykNk1lCL1\/\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our second dream location for a garden sauna is the igloo villages built in Lapland. These stunning buildings and the extraordinary experiences they offer attract travellers from Asia in particular to Finland. It would be an honour to be part of a sauna world built next to an igloo village.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Arctic Snow Hotel, &#8221;In a glass-roofed igloo, you fall asleep comfortably under a warm duvet in the glow of the stars and the northern lights. &nbsp;Each glass igloo has its own toilet and shower, and the igloos are carefully insulated so that the frost cannot catch guests by surprise even on the coldest night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The roof of the igloo is made of electrically heated glass, so it doesn't radiate cold into the room but keeps it evenly warm and melts the snow and ice on top of it. The igloo also always has underfloor heating. The beds in the igloos are motorised, so you can easily adjust your position to suit either sleeping or watching the sky.&#8221;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-instagram aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B7xyHHqh9ew\/\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A third place where a sauna cabin would fit is on the slope or summit of a fell. This picture shows Konttainen, which is part of a Natura 2000 conservation area. Konttainen is about a ten-minute drive from the centre of Ruka in Kuusamo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Konttainen is a distinctive-looking hill 407 metres high, with its rocky cliff face visible from the road running alongside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The l\u00f6yly would certainly be enjoyable there, and the scenery breathtaking. But here, the rugged, untouched beauty should be allowed to win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-instagram aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B7sTNH-AZuY\/?utm_source=ig_embed\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u00f6yly and Allas Sea Pool have set a superb example by bringing Finnish cultural heritage to a prime spot in the centre of Helsinki. These projects deserve an artist's grant and an award for promoting culture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It would be amazing if, inspired by these example projects, a world of Finnish saunas were built for everyone to enjoy. A variety of garden saunas for tourists and locals alike to use. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-instagram aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B7gDcqfAQ74\/\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A garden sauna on the shore of a lake or the sea, on your own plot. Every plot, every lake and every stretch of sea is unique and someone's dream. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of every garden sauna project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is an example of the landscape on the shore of Finland's largest and Europe's fourth largest lake  &#8211; Saimaa.
