Durable
Laminated log does not warp and develops fewer and smaller cracks than solid log (planed log).
High-quality
The laminated log we use is made by gluing together two planks, or lamellas, so that the durable heartwood side faces the outer surface of the log. The surface is smooth, with very little cracking.
Breathable
Laminated log is breathable and healthy. The manufacturing process uses ecological, solvent-free glue that breathes like solid wood.

Impressive
The laminated log we use is 190 mm high. This is significantly more substantial than the thinner, lower-profile planed log used by many manufacturers. The difference in appearance is considerable.

Is the glue in laminated log toxic?
No. The Purbond glue we use in our logs contains no formaldehyde or other toxic substances. Most log house manufacturers use the same glue.
Purbond adhesive is internationally certified. The use of Purbond adhesives in timber products is approved under DIN 1052 and Eurocode 5 standards.
Does the glue in laminated log affect breathability?
Not at all – it does not impair or block it in any way. The Purbond glue we use preserves the natural breathability of the log. The glue is not spread as a film but as a mesh-like layer, leaving air passages in the glue as well.
It is important not to obstruct the breathability of the inside and outside surfaces of the log with incorrect surface treatment agents, such as film-forming varnishes and paints.
