Garden Sauna 13 can be built without a permit

The Building Act was reformed at the start of 2025, and outbuildings under 30 square metres no longer require a permit. Read more from our article.

Effortless turnkey delivery

Ehta's ready-made log buildings are built in dry factory conditions, delivered in one piece and installed ready for use.

The building arrives on site on the back of a lorry and is lifted onto the foundations by crane. Installation on site typically takes less than 2 hours. You can enjoy the atmosphere of your new cabin or the löyly of your garden sauna the very same evening.

The sales and ordering side was handled flexibly. The delivery arrived on time and the installation went quickly. However, there was a dent in the roof edge flashing. It doesn't affect use, but you can certainly notice it. The biggest surprise: the changing room door has properly adjustable exterior door hinges, but the sauna door was fitted with an interior door hinge that cannot be adjusted. After three months of summer use, the door now sags unpleasantly. But overall no complaints, quite the contrary. The löyly is excellent, meaning the heater is the right size. The benches are solidly built. The workmanship is neat. There have been plenty of admirers and praisers. Oh, and one more thing: a bit of carelessness; the lower end of one of the threaded rods coming through the logs was missing a washer and nut. A professional carpenter checked the tightness right when it was new and noticed this omission.

Everything went great! One window and its window flashing had been left out of the delivery, but they were delivered quickly and well packed once the issue came up. We built the sauna cabin ourselves; the job was pleasant and easy. The instructions were good and there was more than enough of all the materials. I recommend it!
