Sauna Cabin 20 is made from sturdy laminated log. Thanks to its compact size, it works as a sauna cabin and as extra space alongside the main cottage or in the garden of a detached house. The changing room between the hot sauna and the lounge separates the two, giving the small sauna cabin ideal possibilities for use.

Sauna Cabin 20 can be built without a permit

The Building Act was reformed at the start of 2025, and outbuildings under 30 square metres no longer require a permit. Read more from our article.

If you need a building permit, we will provide the necessary drawings and help you with the permit application. You can also order a building permit service, in which case we will apply for the permit on your behalf.

Ehta's ready-made log buildings are built in dry factory conditions, delivered in one piece and installed ready for use.

The building arrives on site on the back of a lorry and is lifted onto the foundations by crane. Installation on site typically takes less than 2 hours. You can enjoy the atmosphere of your new cabin or the löyly of your garden sauna the very same evening.

Good steam. If you want it a bit milder, that works by keeping the temperature at 60-70. For something stronger, 80 is already plenty. The options were good. We're happy with the slightly wider benches and the large picture window. These changes went easily. Brilliant overall.

The reason I didn't give five stars overall is that there were a few little things.
Closer inspection showed that a few staples had been left here and there on the inside, and there was debris and insulation wool under and inside the sauna heater.
Otherwise, yes – thumbs up to you.

Despite the lovely sauna, we haven't had a chance to use it yet, so we cannot comment on the sauna's steam. We give full marks for everything else, but one thing worth noting for other sauna buyers is the building's electrical system. We had planned to have ceiling lights and had also shown the pictures to Ehta, but installing them on the ceiling turned out not to be possible after all.

The lounge sauna is 2.6 m deep, 7.6 m wide and has one extra log course. The sauna type is Vihta XXL, which has, between the sauna and the lounge, a 1.2 m wide entrance porch and a WC. – the layout fitted a 1-metre-wide mini kitchen with wall cabinets in the lounge, and there is also plenty of room for a sofa bed and a table for two. The layout is excellent in relation to the size of the cabin. – In the sauna, the benches could have been arranged so that you'd sit closer to the heater when taking löyly. From the benches you have to throw the water a long way onto the heater. – The delivery of the sauna lounge with the agreed changes didn't go quite perfectly (8 on a scale of 1-10); some agreed parts were missing from the delivery, and they were duly delivered later. The felt on the deck canopy didn't stay on its base during transport, but I received appropriate compensation for this. – Overall, I'm satisfied with the delivery.
