Åke and Kaisa Nyblom are laughing with happy expressions in front of their new sauna cabin. However, the road to becoming the happy owner of an Ehtan ready-made cabin was not a foregone conclusion, as Åke exclaims good-naturedly:
“We received good service, even though the first answer was no!”

That's how it all began
The sauna cottage is special to the Nyblom couple, as it has allowed for the continuation of an old outbuilding, which had suffered water damage and had to be demolished.
So, it all began when the Nybloms were actively seeking a solution for their old and beloved outbuilding. Among the options was Ehta, and the Nybloms fell in love with the prefabricated cabin collection. Although Ehta's prefabricated cabins are tailored to customer wishes, the Nybloms' original plan deviated too much from Ehta's own collection.
The Nyblom family still didn't want to give in straight away:
“We changed the drawings a bit, but it always felt natural. We could easily arrange a meeting or go through things via email even on a tight schedule. The customer service was good and the response was quick. It felt quite natural to arrive at this solution at some point.”
However, there were other reasons for the choice:
“For Ethan, many things fell into place.”,
Kaisa states emphatically.
“The price-quality ratio, along with Ostrobothnian and Finnish identity, was a trump card.”
Åke highlights the breadth of Ehta's comprehensive solution:
“Not everyone can provide this level of service. We have toilets and showers here – not everyone is able to do that at the moment. – In addition, there is underfloor heating, which is absolutely brilliant, especially in winter.”
The Nyblom ready-made sauna cabin serves both leisure and everyday life
Ehta supplies all buildings as standard as ready-made deliveries. The range of accessories is constantly expanding. If desired, a cottage or sauna can already include everything upon arrival at the yard, including a kitchen, shower, bathroom, and heated tiled floor.
“In our Sauna Cabin 30, there are sort of three separate rooms,”,
Kaisa is telling.
“A room with a fireplace and also a kitchen. The Saunamökki 30 can easily accommodate a kitchen; the spot by the door was just right. The living room area functions as a remote working space, a guest room, and generally for relaxing. And in the middle there is a shower and toilet.”
“The sauna is a cold room: so there are two external doors. The sauna is kept cool, which actually brings back the old sauna tradition. And it creates that experience where, when you come home for the weekend and light the sauna fire, that's how the weekend begins.”,
Åke continues.
A sauna cabin in your own garden is the perfect escape from everyday life.
Aki and Kaisa's everyday life is full, but the sauna cottage makes it easy to relax even in the middle of a busy day:
“We do a lot of work, we travel a lot, and so on. But then at the weekend, you can relax in this environment. We don't have a proper summer cottage, so this is our summer cottage.”,
Åke describes:
“It’s not a long journey, there are just a few lawns to cut, one place to tend to, and yet you can escape everyday life.”
“After a week, you can go to the sauna: Friday to the sauna, Saturday to the sauna, sometimes even Sunday to the sauna – and still get into your own bed to sleep in the evening.,
adds Kaisa.
“During the summer holidays, we took a sauna almost every day when we were at home.”
You have to experience the genuine sauna steam for yourself
According to Åke, everyone should get to experience the perfect löyly of the new Ehta sauna for themselves:
“Let's turn on the sauna so you can have the best steam yourself!”,
She laughs.
“The best steam is breathable, not too harsh… Authentic sauna steam is gentle and traditional. People can sit in the sauna for many hours – perhaps even two hours.,
describes Kaisa in turn.
Now Åke also has words to describe the sauna and the sauna experience:
“A traditionally built sauna. Absolutely brilliant! Compared to previous saunas, the steam in this sauna cabin is much gentler and more breathable. And what's good is that there's plenty of oxygen, and you can stay in there for a really long time. Usually, it's even perhaps too long.
”Now when you go to the indoor sauna, you can't stay there very long. We don't use the indoor sauna much anymore. I don't think we've had a single sauna in the indoor sauna since this sauna came.
And when Ehta made these benches according to our wishes – a bench to sit on, that is – and we only have these wooden eco-chairs there and it's nice to sit there, what's not to like about having a sauna?”
The first steamings rewarded Åke, chilled by the installation day
Delivery day The crane had positioned the sauna in place by half-past eight in the morning. Åke had chosen to handle the on-site commissioning installations himself.
Because the sauna cottage also had drainage, electricity and running water, the installation work took all day. In challenging situations, Åke called for help from production manager Ahti, and just like that, the Nybloms were already in the sauna in the evening:
“A few calls to Ahti in between, we got the pipes in place and installed them correctly, – the same day, after the twelfth hour of delivery, we had a sauna.”
“It was a freezing cold day. I was absolutely frozen and had been lying under the sauna doing the drains. My fingers and hands were so cold... it was brilliant to get into the sauna to warm up; and the steam was really good.”
3D modelling in the design of a prefabricated cottage helps to visualise solutions in reality.
Åke and Kaisa found the planning with Ehta easy. The 3D modelling, in particular, received praise:
“You had a brilliant 3D model, so you could see it quite well. And then we were able to place it in the landscape beforehand... and then we made these changes, for example, with the windows.
At first they were a bit smaller, but then we got a 3D sketch of it, so we made them bigger, and also symmetrical; so without this 3D modelling, we wouldn't have been able to achieve this look to be as pleasant as it is now.”
The planning of the bathroom details took a little time, but the couple found this process smooth too, thanks to the good and fast service:
“When planning the toilet or bathroom area, emails, pictures and suggestions were sent back and forth with the salesperson many times. A new model always came back: where to put the shower and where the water heater would fit, and finally we found one that suited our cabin.”
Good service doesn't end with the sale – complaints must also be handled with integrity.
When delivering large orders, there's a lot to consider. Occasionally, mistakes or other damages occur, requiring the customer to get in touch. The Nyblom family appreciates the service they receive after the sale:
“We had a rather unfortunate incident, or rather a small complaint. We went through it, and Ehta reacted very quickly. We agreed on a date, and then an Ehta representative came to the premises. We identified what had happened, agreed on a course of action, and it was resolved. It was also good that it wasn't left at the point of sale, but that the complaints were dealt with honourably.

We have a slightly bigger cottage, but there are also smaller ones, so there is probably something to suit everyone's taste.”

Åke and Kaisa offer some important advice when buying a sauna or a summer cottage.
“It's worth thinking about the intended use as a whole, i.e. what you value – what you value in the sauna and this... This [Sauna Cabin 30] is absolutely brilliant for us: We can combine leisure activities with it... and yet when guests come, they can stay here in their own peace and quiet.

Åke and Kaisa wanted a multi-purpose building with a traditional sauna through which nature would also be brought close:
“It's really important to us that the sauna is functional and good. But also that there are these big windows facing outwards; you can look at the nature and all sorts of animals that pass by at the same time.
Yes, this is very versatile... so this is our cabin, this is our sauna, guest house, and remote working spot. Many different functions in the same building.”
The new ready-made sauna cabin is now a large and significant part of everyday life:
“Let's continue with the sauna every weekend, at least twice a week. This is a big part of our everyday life.”
“For Finns, the sauna is important.”
