The most spacious sauna cabin in our collection

The cabin itself turned out well, but things related to the delivery (ensuring access to the plot, a more precise delivery schedule, etc.) had to be pushed for by oneself, as the person handling things wasn't terribly proactive.

My rating of 7 is based on the whole chain from order to delivery.
1) Ordering and design: worked extremely well – based on two standard models, a design was created to suit our own garden, one that wasn't available among the so-called standard models. The design work was quick. Thank you, Jonna Humalajoki
2) Hassle with the cabin delivery: It would be good to have exact specs/dimensions ready on how wide an access route is needed to get the cabin on site. I had to turn to a local haulage firm for help because there were doubts that the transport company chosen by Ehta would be able to make the delivery. A professional on site worked out that the haulier Ehta had booked should indeed be able to get the cabin in. In my opinion, this went wrong. Just give the dimensions of the opening needed for the delivery. There was too much hassle over this, and in the end the cabin fitted into place just fine.
3) Groundwork: I had the groundwork done by a local contractor. The construction drawings didn't show the drain locations, which I then requested separately, and the drain drawings I received were mirror images – but luckily that was spotted.
4) Delivery: The groundwork was done according to the instructions. The only unclear thing was whether or not a felt pad should go on top of each pier. It didn't say anywhere, and I assumed the transport company would put the pads in place before setting the cabin down, like the competitor Salvos Sauna does. Well, they didn't, and they still haven't been fitted. It still bothers me a bit, because now there's no damp-proof course between the beam and the frame. Putting the pieces in place would have taken 2 minutes, but fitting them afterwards is really laborious. Not good. There should be a clear instruction about this, or the pads could be stapled to the base at the factory, or someone should make sure they've been fitted. I had felt of my own, but just try cutting it when the cabin is already up in the air.
5) Cabin: the cabin is really stunning, there's nothing to fault in the quality. I stained the interior surfaces of the cabin myself, which also gave me a chance to inspect it up close. The locking diagrams for the window opening mechanism were missing, and I had to call to ask how to get the opening windows fully open, i.e. release them from that lock – that could be added to the delivery. The outer sauna door has been a bit problematic: it barely closes. I've already sanded the edges a few times so that the door would close smoothly, but it feels like it just keeps swelling more. I'll have to sand it a third time. So the clearance has been made too tight, without taking into account possible
The sauna has been in constant use since the summer and otherwise it's worked well.
One last thing: when you advertise the trade fairs you're attending, it would of course have been nice for sauna customers to get free fair tickets, e.g. for Habitare

Friendly service, reliable delivery, everything went smoothly

High-quality materials, delivery as agreed, missing delivery items were sorted out quickly, communication worked well, and you could get more information by phone when needed

Everything worked as agreed. The sauna even arrived earlier than the original delivery schedule.

The delivery took place very well as agreed and the quality of the building work is good. The design of the building also went well and complaints were finally rectified well. Factory visits also helped in making the decision.

I would have given a 10 for excellent service, but the only minus was that the delivery schedule was vague: I found out the delivery time 3 days beforehand, and it's very difficult to keep your calendar completely clear for a couple of days at such short notice. The transport and setting the cabin in place, on the other hand, deserved a 10.
The quote was clear and I liked the Oma Ehta pages. Communication was just right too, and I got quick answers to my questions.
I can't say much about the quality of the cabin yet, as we haven't used it yet.

I've already recommended it to a friend who's planning to build a garden sauna. And the effortless design phase and value for money of a sauna delivered ready-built, with excellent steam.

Everything turned out as agreed
The sauna arrived ahead of schedule. The transport was handled professionally and pleasantly.
We had our first sauna the very same evening it was delivered. The only minus, a very small one: the sauna was missing one hole for wiring.

From the very first contact with Ehta, and specifically with Hanna, everything went really well.

A smooth and pleasant process. A minor warranty issue was also handled effortlessly.

Good steam. If you want it a bit milder, that works by keeping the temperature at 60-70. For something stronger, 80 is already plenty. The options were good. We're happy with the slightly wider benches and the large picture window. These changes went easily. Brilliant overall.

The reason I didn't give five stars overall is that there were a few little things.
Closer inspection showed that a few staples had been left here and there on the inside, and there was debris and insulation wool under and inside the sauna heater.
Otherwise, yes – thumbs up to you.

The whole process went as planned and on schedule. The customised solutions and the sauna glass that broke in transport were also sorted out remarkably quickly, despite the summer holiday season. Strongly recommend this supplier!

The sauna finish is good. The steam is wonderful, especially now that I've familiarised myself with the heater and how it works for a little while. The steam has two parts; the first part, a bit punchier, comes quickly after throwing water on the stones, and the second wave descends a moment later, softer.

We received the sauna as a kit, and the person who assembled it praised the quality of the timber.

The salesperson (Hanna) was very professional, pleasant, and efficient.
The delivery went well even though we weren't there ourselves. The delivery time changed from what was agreed because of the transport. The sauna aitta was ready ahead of schedule.

We've enjoyed Ehta's sauna sessions with satisfaction for several years now. The sauna, situated on the lakeshore, fits the landscape perfectly. In fact, it fits much better than the old sauna from the 60s, which was demolished. In front of the sauna, we built a spacious terrace large enough for a bigger group to cool down.

The sauna has greatly added to the comfort of our time at the cottage, as the sauna lounge warms up very quickly even in cold weather. Our holiday home only has solar power, and the sauna has its own small solar panel and battery for the lighting.

The whole sauna process went smoothly, from order to delivery. Transporting the sauna building worried us a little at first, as the road to our cottage is a very narrow and winding gravel road. But the sauna got there fine and was lifted onto the foundations!

Our sauna has stood up well to wind and snowstorms without any major maintenance, just basic care of course. It's always lovely to head to the cottage for a sauna after the depths of winter!

At Ehta we found the garden sauna we had long dreamt of. Our own wishes could be realised and we are happy with the overall result. The fireplace delivered for the lounge side heats so strongly that it can't be used just for atmosphere, nor in summer. It certainly brings warmth quickly in winter.

The sauna has been a great purchase! The rooms and materials are high quality and the building looks stunning.

As modifications, we ordered deeper plank sauna benches and larger windows, and these were a good decision too.

The löyly is excellent and the living areas are just what we hoped for. The delivery went smoothly and overall it's 5/5.

We got a wonderful, functional package effortlessly! Modern design, the option to make changes and a delivery-ready package were our decision criteria, and Ehta met them brilliantly.

Really friendly customer service. Everything went as it should right from the start; you can't be anything but satisfied with the whole process. The sauna met all our expectations. I recommend it.

The only thing to fix is the lock manufacturer. Switch to high-quality Abloy locks, they work better.

Despite the lovely sauna, we haven't had a chance to use it yet, so we cannot comment on the sauna's steam. We give full marks for everything else, but one thing worth noting for other sauna buyers is the building's electrical system. We had planned to have ceiling lights and had also shown the pictures to Ehta, but installing them on the ceiling turned out not to be possible after all.

The sauna-and-lounge building is 2.6 m deep and 7.6 m wide, with one extra course of logs. The sauna type is Vihta XXL, which has a 1.2 m wide porch and a WC between the sauna and the lounge.
- the layout fitted a 1-metre-wide mini kitchen with wall cabinets into the lounge, and there's plenty of room for a sofa bed and a table for two as well. The layout is excellent for the size of the cabin.
- The sauna benches could have been placed so that you'd sit closer to the sauna heater when bathing. From the benches you have to throw the water an awfully long way to reach the heater.
- The delivery of the sauna cabin with the agreed modifications didn't go quite perfectly (8 on a scale of 1-10): some agreed parts were missing from the delivery, but they were duly delivered later. The felt on the deck canopy didn't stay on its base during transport, but I received appropriate compensation for this.
- Overall, I'm happy with the delivery.
