We understand, however, that needs and practices vary, and therefore, the models can also be customized with your own choices. What kind of foundations are needed?
We recommend either pier foundations or screw pile foundations for all our buildings. It's advisable to build the foundations carefully on a frost-resistant sub-base to ensure stable foundations and prevent the building from settling. We will provide you with a foundation dimension drawing, which makes building the foundations easy.
How should the exterior and interior surfaces of a log be treated?
For exterior surfaces, the minimum treatment is a colourless protective coating that protects against moisture and mould spores. In wet seasons, we recommend treatment soon after delivery. A protective treatment can also be selected as an option, in which case it is applied at the factory. Otherwise, the same instructions apply to the surface treatment as to the treatment of log surfaces in general.
What is the delivery time for a sauna or fence?
The delivery time for garden saunas and fences varies slightly depending on the season. Delivery time is generally around seven weeks from order confirmation. It is also a good idea to take into account the duration of any building permit process. Some of our models (stock models) are also available with shorter delivery times.
Can the floor plans be modified?
The garden sauna can be modified according to your needs and the floor plans can be adapted in many ways. Our design process is based on listening to the customer's ideas, wishes and needs. We design the best floor plans according to these ideas: the locations of doors, windows and partitions, and any additions and removals.
Can a garden sauna be electrified?
Yes, it is also possible to electrify a garden sauna. When the electrification is done during the garden sauna's construction, the cables can be run hidden and the electrification does not need to be done with surface wiring. Once the building is installed in place, the electrical panel needs to be connected. You can arrange this with a local electrical installation company, for example.
What kind of warranty do buildings have?
We offer a comprehensive 12-year warranty on the log frame. The warranty for the floor, ceiling, benches, and electrical installations is 2 years. For other parts, the manufacturer's warranty applies.
Is it possible to install a window of a different size in the building? How about an exterior door for the steam room? So, can standard models be modified?
We have invested significant time and expertise into the design of our saunas. Our models have been refined over the years to be excellent and functional. However, we understand that needs vary and individual modifications are necessary. Get in touch, and we can discuss what we can do.
Does a garden sauna need a building permit?
A backyard sauna or other backyard building does not require a building permit if its size is less than 30 m2 and it is not intended for residential use. You can read more about the construction law, which entered into force on January 1, 2025. here.
