When buying a ready-made sauna or log cabin package, it's a good idea to make a choice in the initial phase:

Modern or traditional log cabin?
Log cabins are available from different suppliers in a wide variety of models. However, models are mainly divided into two categories:
- modern log cabin
- traditional log cabin
Externally, these often differ in that a traditional log cabin is equipped with a more traditional gable roof, whereas a modern log cabin has a sloping monopitch roof. Modern log cabins also often favour, for example, large panoramic windows.

Foundations and building permits are not included in the packages
The ready-made sauna and log cabin package does not include building permit fees or foundation work.
All 30 square metre garden saunas or sauna cabins do not require a building permit. The legislative change came into effect at the beginning of 2025. For larger buildings or those intended for residential use, a building permit is still required.
In all construction, other provisions related to building law must still be taken into account, such as:
- fire safety regulations
- Minimum distances
- Building rights
- Municipality-specific zoning regulations
- Building regulations
The responsibility for compliance with the regulations always lies with the developer! If you are unsure about the regulations, it is advisable to call your municipality's building control department. Ehta can also help you with building permit matters >>
